Purpose of Website
The purpose of this website is to provide an avenue for believing and unbelieving people to learn the basis of our Faith and Practice. We also greatly desire to utilize this site as a ministry tool. For that purpose you'll find above an email address which you can use to pose your theological questions or request counseling. You'll also find articles, sermons and lessons which will hopefully answer some of your questions concerning who we are, what we believe and why. Additions are made to this website weekly, so please check back often.
For First Time Guests
Our church currently has attendance in the fortys with a wide range in attendance. We have a range currently of toddler to the retired. We have some in the college age group and some young couples. However, our most important characteristic is our desire to worship the Lord in Sprirt and in Truth. If you'd like to join us, we'd love to have you.
You can also receive daily encouragement by joining us on facebook here! Or email the address above for the daily e-newsletter featuring an mp3 audio file of readings that will take you through the Bible in one year and a devotional thought for the day.
Our greatest desire is to honor God through Christian living. We encourage others to do the same by confessing their sins and putting their trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We further encourage all born again believers to submit to scriptural baptism and involve themselves in Christian service with a scriptural local new testament church. If you don't have a church home, we encourage you to consider us and invite you to check us out on this website and on facebook, email us at email@example.com or call the pastor at 236-2626 to learn more. You can also receive counseling or ask for a in home bible study.
What To Expect
All services begin in the Sanctuary. Here is the Building Floorplan. The Sanctuary is down the hall to the left as you come in. Down the hall to the right is the Fellowship Hall. On the far right side of the foyer you'll find the Ladies' and Men's Restrooms. On the far left side of the foyer is the nursery. Following a couple of songs and devotional, we will dismiss for class. If you have children, their teacher will come by and invite them to come with them to class. You may also, if you'd like, keep your children with you. There are two adult classes on Sunday morning and Sunday night. The one that stays in the Sanctuary uses ABA literature. In the class in the Sanctuary on Sunday morning, the students participate by reading a verse from the lesson one by one, and may also offer discussion as the teacher invites. The class that meets in the fellowship hall Sunday morning is a Bible Study without literature and is a little more discussion oriented than the class in the Sanctuary.
On Sunday night, the class in the Sanctuary uses the ABA Baptist Training Course literature and is discussion based. Volunteers from the week before read each of the parts in the literature and discussion of each part is invited. The class in the fellowship hall on Sunday night is a discussion class geared toward answering questions on a variety of topics the class may ask.
On Wednesday night, we do not meet. We encourage you to have family bible study and devotions every night, but especially on Wednesday night to grow your family's relationships with each other and with God.
We use traditional hymns in worship, including some old Heavenly Highway Hymns and messages are a bible based mixture of expository and topical sermons.
We hope you will find us hospitable, scriptural and encouraging.
